What is in our price?

Both the stripe kits for the Lucerne Blue and white model are recreated from original GM stripes.

Even the part numbers used for the individual stripes are the original  GM part numbers.

Our kits are stored flat on the shelf until time of order. 

All stripes are silk screened on 3M material. Yes silk screening is more expensive but it is correct to the original factory format.

NOTE: Our off white kits are double screened to avoid a color shift when applied to the Lucerne blue body color.

Yes there are less expensive black/white kits that are available with what is called an overlay of white vinyl on top of black vinyl but this creates a thicker piece of stripe which is harder to install. The possibility of the white material releasing or shrinking and the original factory stripes are a soft white not just white.

Yes, our 1970-72 Trans Am Kits cost more than “Cheap” kits, but why? The white/black kit features the correct Black/White-on-clear vinyl. A “cheap” kit is die cut black vinyl with white vinyl placed on top of the black, unlike the factory original. Although you can buy a cheaper Black/Blue kit, our kit features a FULL PERIMETER DOTFADE, with no seams in the curves, just like the original! The “Cheap” kit does not feature dot fades & has seams in the corners to splice artwork together.

DID YOU KNOW?
1970-72 Trans Am info: The factory stripes were 18 1/4″ wide. There is a stripe on the market that is only 17 1/2″ wide. The part numbers we use are the original GM part numbers for authenticity.

 NOTE: When ordering an individual stripe keep in mind depending or the kit installed or length of time the stripes have been on the car we cannot guarantee an exact match.

Did you know GM did not use a pure white color on the stripe used on the Lucerne Blue model. It is a soft white color with a solid black boarder unlike the white model that used a black matrix stripe surrounding the center blue color. NOTE: The shaker features a unique blue color on the white car.Unfortunately we do not have the paint color code used.
