1968 Chevrolet SS Camaro Paint Stencil and Stripe Kit

Kit consist of:

Left and Right header panel stencils

Left and Right upper and side fender stencils.

Left and right rear fender/door stripes or stencils depending on option selected.

How to sheet

PPG paint chart for correct stripe colors.

Specification sheet.

Vinyl application squeegee.

Color photo’s of the original car panels showing how the stripes wrapped around the header and fender sections.

This kit was introduced as the D90 stripe package and featured a wrap around front nose stripe that continued onto the fender and turned under the emblem designating engine size. The factory continued the stripe past the front tire onto the rear fender and door. This kit is recreated from an original 1968 Camaro SS  fender and header panel unit to insure a correct factory appearance. This kit was first release by us in November of 1987.

Due to the compound curves in the front fender area and the center of the header panel we do not offer this in a all vinyl kit. Please read panel below. ID O KNOW?

We  used original GM NOS stripes to create the both the rear fender and door stripes pictured above

DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that GM painted the “doghouse” assembly (front fenders, hood, etc.) separately from the rest of the body on the assembly line, and mounted it onto the body after it was painted?That is why the FRONT portion of the fender and header panel stripes are painted, and the REAR portion of the front fender stripes and door stripes are vinyl on ’68-’69 Camaros.
